Vandaag zijn Wendy en ik naar Amsterdam geweest. Het rijden aan de vaste wal begint al aardig te wennen trouwens. Anders was ik al dagen zenuwachtig om de drukte bij Amsterdam in te gaan, maar daar had ik nu geen last van.
We komen al sinds Wendy een half jaar was in het Vumc. De band met het cf-team is altijd heel erg goed geweest. Maar vandaag zijn we hier voor het laatst. We gaan helemaal over naar het UMCG. Dan hebben we alles op een adres, dat is wel zo makkelijk. En als er iets is moet Wendy toch naar Groningen. En ondertussen is het daar ook al vertrouwd.
Maar ja Dokter Nagelkerke, cf-verpleegkundige Irma, Hedy van de longfunctie. We zullen ze toch missen. Maar we hebben afgesproken dat als we in de beurt zijn, we zo even langs kunnen komen. En dokter Nagelkerke is een vogelaar. En als hij een keer op Texel is om naar de vogels te kijken, dan komt hij even bij ons aan. Met een klein aandenken vanaf ons mooie eiland en een prachtige brief van Wendy zullen ze nog wel eens aan deze meid denken.
We zijn een rondje gelopen in het Vu-kinderstad en nog even over de afdeling waar Wendy heeft gelegen. We spraken nog wat verpleegkundigen en ze wisten zelfs Wendy haar naam nog! Ze zouden op het bord schrijven dat we langs zijn geweest en dat ze is getransplanteerd en dat het goed met haar gaat.
Toch ook nog even longfunctie geblazen ............. nieuw record!!!! FEV1 van 45%.
Dokter Nagelkerke vond dat Wendy er heel goed uitziet. Hij is blij haar nu weer zo te zien.
Hij vindt het jammer dat we nu naar het UMCG gaan, maar hij begrijpt het natuurlijk wel.
Wat zullen we deze lieve, kindvriendelijke en vrolijke dokter missen. We zullen U vast en zeker nog wel eens zien!

maar het is toch altijd leuk voor de dokters etc. om te zien dat het met een patient goed gaat, ook al gaan ze elders heen.
ook in het UMCG hebben jullie goede contacten met iedereen dat is toch wel fijn als je er regelmatig heen moet.
maar toch ook altijd weer leuk als de mensen als ze op texel zijn even langs komen wippen.
